

Admission in CPSA

A student needs to report at CPSA and carry out the necessary registration. There are no charges for the registration.

CPSA timing is flexible. However, presently we are running classes between
14:00 O'clock to 18:00 O'clock. The batch timing can be modified as per the requirement of a student. -
A student can report to the Academy anytime between these timings.

It takes almost 1 hour and 30 minutes for training of a student on a daily basis.

All kinds of Weapons and Equipment are provided by the CPSA itself.

Students need to carry a water bottle, a hand towel within their bags.

As a first step in the process of beginning your adventure in the field of Shooting Sport, our coaches will help you choose and decide the most suitable and adequate weapon and event to pursue to the best of your ability.



START TRAINING
Through a training program designed to the unique and special needs of each student, the professional team would help you in strengthening your physical and mental skills in alignment to the needs of the sport.

As the third step, attempting at an ideal cooperation between the shooter and the coach, the academy will assist you on your overall development and help you pave your way to the victory.

10 Meter Air Pistol
The 10 Meter Air Pistol is an Olympic Shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation "ISSF". It is shot with a 4.5 mm (or .177) caliber air pistol at a distance of 10 metres and that the match consists of a qualification round of 60 competition shots within 75 minutes on Electronic Scoring System. If an Electronic Scoring System "EST" is not available, 15 minutes are added to the time limit.

10 Meter Air Rifle
The 10 Meter Air Rifle is an International Shooting Sports Federation "ISSF" shooting event, shot at a bulls eye target over a distance of 10 meters using a 4.5 mm (0.177 in) caliber Air Rifle with a maximum weight of 5.5 kg (or 12.13 lbs). Shooters also use a proper Rifle Kit that is designed for 10 Meter Air Rifle events. It is one of the ISSF governed shooting sports included in the Summer Olympics since the 1984 Los Angeles Games.

What's the minimum age requirement to start shooting at CPSA?Official tournaments allow the shooters with a minimum 10 years of age or above to participate. Accordingly, a student can start the practice 1 or 2 years prior to the official age depending on the physical build.

Do I require an Armed License to start shooting?No, you no need any armed license for 10 Meter air shooting. Only air weapons including air rifles and air guns having muzzle energy exceeding 20 joules or 15 ft. lbs. and/or bore exceeding 0.177”or 4.5 mm shall be subject to licensing requirements under the Arms Act.

Can I take shooting as a career?Yes, definitely. A large number of shooters are employed by Indian Defense Forces, Para Military Forces, Indian Railways, ONGC, IOCL etc.

What's the registration fee for the applicant?We don't have any applicant registration charges. You only need to pay for your monthly training fee at the CPSA.

How can I choose from Pistol & Rifle event?It depends on the interest of the Shooter. However, our professional coaches also help a shooter to select the best suited weapon or event.

Do I need to bring my own Weapon & Equipment?No, it's provided by the CPSA Academy until & unless the shooter is already having his own Weapon & Equipment.

How much time do I need to learn shooting at CPSA?It purely depends upon the interest & the efforts of the shooter. However, a minimum 1 month is required to build a foundation for basics.

Do you offer Pay & Play option at the range?Yes, this facility is available at CPSA, interested shooters can practice on a daily basis.

Can I do Fun Shooting at CPSA?Yes, that facility is also available. CPSA is open for all the visitors who are willing for an exciting and safe shooting experience.

How do you ensure Physical & Mental Fitness of the Shooters?We provide varied kinds of Training to Shooters which includes Physical Training, Psychometric Counselling & Analyses, Interaction with renowned Shooters like Olympians etc. for greater exposure and overall development of the Shooters.
